Mission and Goals
"There is a great need for equity-focused math and science teachers in the state of California. UCLA Cal Teach encourages and supports UCLA students interested in K-12 math and science teaching. Our service-learning courses include observation and participation in K-12 schools (elementary, middle and high schools) to assist and support classroom instruction."
Approximately 200 UCLA students take our courses per year. For each course taken, a student spends 20-24 hours per quarter as a K-12 classroom volunteer.
