The Civil Rights Project/Proyecto Derechos Civiles (CRP) is a leading organization devoted to creating a new generation of research in social science and law on the critical issues of civil rights and equal opportunity for racial and ethnic groups in the United States.
Services Provided
CRP research monitors the success of American schools in equalizing opportunity. We testify and provide assistance on Capitol Hill, state capitals and in civil rights cases. Its research is incorporated into federal legislation, cited in court rulings, and used to spur Congressional hearings. CRP work is often quoted in major national media.
Who We Serve
Our research audience includes academics and researchers, policy makers, elected officials, education organizations, educators at all levels, civil rights attorneys and advocates, and the media.
Mission and Goals
The mission of the Civil Rights Project/Proyecto Derechos Civiles is to help reinforce the civil rights movement by bridging the worlds of ideas and action, to be a trustworthy source of intellectual capital, and to deepen the understanding of the issues that must be resolved to achieve racial equity in an increasingly multi-racial United States.
