The Commons will be an open framework, built to evolve, for a center that represents UCLA’s capacities in its situated geographies of Downtown Los Angeles, which include deeper ties to underrepresented communities and histories, closer relationships to civic agencies and leaders, and greater access to downtown archives and institutions
