HERBIE HANCOCK INSTITUTE OF JAZZ PERFORMANCE AT UCLA

College-level jazz program allows masters of jazz to pass on their expertise to the next generation of jazz musicians. UCLA Jazz performance students present a number of free performances and community outreach programs at LAUSD schools.

Students in the Jazz Performance program at UCLA conduct outreach and serve as teaching artists at LAUSD public schools. In addition to the local outreach, students teach both nationally and internationally.

Through the Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance at UCLA, teaching-artists showcase their artistic contributions to jazz through masterclasses, lectures and public performances.
