The UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation conducts research that informs effective and equitable environmental policy to improve lives. Our research tackles critical environmental and societal challenges – from rising temperatures to ensuring clean air and the human right to water for all.

We often focus on California to support a model of environmental leadership that is relevant globally. We conduct research in collaboration with state and city agencies, advocacy organizations and community-based groups, with a focus on improving environmental conditions for marginalized communities and vulnerable populations.
