UCLA UniCamp inspires over 1,200 children from urban communities to envision brighter futures by sending them, along with 450 student volunteers, to its residential outdoor summer camp in the San Bernardino National Forest.
Services Provided
Classic Camp (ages 10-14) focuses on social-emotional learning through living and accomplishing goals together, while also offering nature and STEM programming. Programs for campers in high school (ages 15-17) develop leadership skills and allow for exploring the wilderness while becoming a better leader.
Who We Serve
Youth ages 10-17. This program is free to those with an open LA County DCFS case, but spots are first-come, first-served.
Mission and Goals
UCLA UniCamp is the official philanthropy of the Students of UCLA. UniCamp is an independently funded non-profit that connects UCLA with the community. Because of UniCamp, both volunteers and campers have a chance to: Lead, Play, Learn.
