Services Provided
VAPAE equips UCLA undergraduate students with the tools to cultivate civic and community engagement through high quality arts education, building bridges between UCLA Teaching Artists and the surrounding Los Angeles community. Annually, VAPAE offers an exciting public event series that explores a variety of topics and strategies to promote arts equity and high quality arts education initiatives. These events will bring together community members as well as local, state, and national leaders to further these conversations. All events are free and open to the public.

Mission and Goals
VAPAE’s mission is to prepare the next generation of inclusive teaching artists and to build and share knowledge about culturally equitable arts education. VAPAE believes the arts are transformational for individuals and society. Arts education should be part of every child’s complete education, regardless of zip code or circumstance.
