America Reads – Community Partnerships

A program started by the Clinton administration to combat the fact that in 1994, 70 percent of children fell below the proficient level of reading.

Our Tutors

Tutors are trained to help students become proficient in language arts for their respective grade level.

Launched in October 1997, the program seeks to engage eligible Federal Work-Study students in providing tutorial services to children in grades K-5
