Under the Center for Diverse Leadership in Science, the Advancing Climate Action, Environmental Justice and Community Engagement project at UCLA Downtown will serve as a community-based hub for the center and partners to work on issues including education, research, workforce training, environmental health advocacy and organizing and climate resilience.

Mission and Goals

The Center for Diverse Leadership in Science seeks to foster the development of people to become change agents and leaders able to extend and translate academic and scientific knowledge into meaningful action to support communities impacted by environmental hazards and injustices.

Impact Statement

We have supported more than 200 students, 30 faculty and 30 community scientists.
