Basic and Essential Needs

The CPO-BNC brings together various services, including the Food Closet, a kitchen space with microwaves, toaster ovens, and a sink, café seating that hosts CPO Study Hall, a TV watching space, a computer lab, commuter locker program, and a waiting area for the CPO Commuter Van Service. The Collective also features an expanded pantry space. Starting Fall 2024, the Collective will include refrigerated lockers to store medications and perishable food, further supporting students’ needs.

UCLA Basic Needs aims to eliminate student hunger and homelessness. We believe every student should not have to sacrifice their health and nutrition in pursuit of their degree.
