The Reentry Legal Clinic utilizes existing legal means to remove employment barriers, by cleaning up a client’s criminal record, ensuring that employers know and follow existing anti-discrimination laws, and discouraging employers from making unreasonable decisions based on a potential employee’s criminal record.
Services Provided
Work directly with clients preparing petitions and declarations that will be submitted to a judge. They are trained by attorneys from A New Way of Life on how to analyze complex court dockets, conduct effective client interviews with compassion and sensitivity, prepare expungement petitions, and write client declarations.
